Categories
Beginner
Eligibility: Open to candidates with a standard equivalent to AMEB Grades 1-2.
Two contrasting works, at least one of which must have piano accompaniment.
Entry Fee: $15 (ADRS member $10)
Prizes: 1st $150, 2nd $100, 3rd $50, Highly Commended
Elementary
Time limit: 5 minutes
Eligibility: Open to candidates with a standard equivalent to AMEB Grades 3-4.
Two contrasting works, at least one of which must have piano accompaniment.
Intermediate
Time limit: 8 minutes
Eligibility: Open to candidates with a standard equivalent to AMEB Grades 5-6.
Two contrasting works, at least one of which must have piano accompaniment.
Open
Time limit: 12 minutes
Eligibility: Open to candidates with a standard equivalent to AMEB Grade 7 and above. Professional players are not eligible.
Two contrasting works, at least one of which must have piano accompaniment.
Small Ensemble
Time limit: 12 minutes
Examples of eligibility: School students, secondary teachers, and casual performers.
Ensembles should consist of at least one oboe or bassoon player with a maximum of 9 performers per ensemble.
