The Ableton University Tour is a series of free music-making events taking place at university campuses around the world. These presentations, workshops and performances are designed to inform and inspire music makers of all levels. In Australia, three events are taking place in March 2019.

 

Schedule

3:00 - 5:00pm: Ableton Live recording sessions (Registration required - see below for more details)

5:00 - 6:00pm: Refreshments in the Music Common Room with Ableton Push hands-on area

6:00 - 7:30pm: Ableton Live Presentation feat. Alice Ivy

 

3:00 - 5:00pm: Ableton Live recording sessions 

Pre-registered members of the public are invited to participate in short recording sessions at the UQ School Of Music’s state of the art, SSL-equipped recording studio with Ableton Certified Trainer Dr. Eve Klein. These sessions will also demonstrate 10.1, the soon to be released version of Ableton Live, and some of its improved automation editing and zooming workflows, which make recording sessions more fluid. Registering for one of the sessions is essential - see ticketing below.

  • 4:00pm - Recording Session 3 
  • 4:30pm - Recording Session 4 

 

5:00 - 6:00pm: Refreshments in the Music Common Room with Ableton Push hands-on area

Attendees will have an opportunity to get hands-on with Ableton’s Push hardware instrument (assisted by Ableton Certified Trainers) and be welcomed with snacks, refreshments and swag.

 

6:00 - 7:30pm: Ableton Live Presentation feat. Alice Ivy

Special guest artist for each event is one of Australia’s most exciting and in-demand
performers; Alice Ivy.

Diving into her production workflow, Alice Ivy will reveal some of the sampling techniques
that she uses every day when writing music, her approach to performing live, and she’ll
share some of her favourite Ableton Live features and tips and tricks, with Q&A at the end.
