Launch: UQ’s Creative Music Making Program and Ableton Live
UQ’s Creative Music Making Program and Ableton Live
This practical workshop explores the role technology plays in creative music making. From composing video games soundtracks, to performing with laptops and loop pedals, or instructing classes with iPads, music technologies are encouraging the growth of new careers and skills. This workshop will help you to find out more about these future directions in music by showcasing music making techniques with Ableton Live, Ableton Link and Push 2. The UQ iPad Ensemble will also present a performance demonstrating the possibilities of iPad-based performance and Ableton Link.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops with Ableton or their mobile phones so they can try out Link and the new Push 2 for themselves.
Everyone, of all ages and skill levels is welcome to attend.
