Featuring music from the classic repertory for tuba-euphonium quartet as well as a premiere of UQ student composer Eleanor Brimblecombe.

The UQ Tuba Quartet was formed in anticipation of this UQ lunchtime concert and consists of Thomas Allely (Principal Tuba, QSO), Lisa Allely (Principal Euphonium, QWO), Sean Burke (3rd Year BMus, UQ) and Amelia Lane (2nd Year BMus, UQ). This group aims to promote the rich and exciting repertoire for tuba quartet, while also supporting Australian composers – premiering works such as “Maralinga” by Eleanor Brimblecombe. In the future, the UQ Tuba Quartet hopes to provide more performances across Australia with a focus of promoting women in brass performance.
