Celine Chong Performance 1:30pm - 2:00pm

Celine Chong is an emerging pianist, teacher and writer in her fourth year of study at The University of Queensland. She has won numerous awards and scholarships for piano performance and academia and has worked with internationally-acclaimed pianists Sergio Tiempo, Jayson Gillham and Orli Shaham in a range of masterclass and festival settings. In her first year of tertiary study, she was awarded both the University of Queensland Academic Merit Scholarship and Music Merit Scholarship. Since then, she has received Dean's Commendations for Academic Excellence in each year of her study. Celine's passion for chamber music led her to participate in the Advanced Masterclass Program at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, and through her work in music journalism, she is also Queensland's Lead Writer for CutCommon Magazine. Celine is currently completing a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Piano Performance with Dr Anna Grinberg, and a Bachelor of Arts with an extended major in English.

Information Session 2:00pm - 4:00pm

This is a compulsory event for new students enrolled in the Bachelor of Music (Honours) and dual degree programs.  It will highlight important information regarding program structure, course selection and sign-on, key dates and resources. Students will also have the opportunity to hear from members of their school and ask questions regarding their studies.
