The UQ Singers encompasses all of the emerging artists majoring in classical singing at The University of Queensland. We are involved in a variety of solo and chorus projects both within and outside the University, and look forward to keeping you up to date with our activities. Our voice tutors are Shaun Brown, Sarah Crane and Graham Godfrey with coaching from Sharon Collis and John Woods. The program of study for voice majors is designed to develop skilled performers in all areas of vocal technique and to offer opportunities to perform varied vocal literature. Through studio lessons, workshops, recitals, opera excerpts and our ever-broadening concert program, the faculty will assist you in developing the full array of tools required by a professional singer for public performances. Students will achieve a high degree of professional competence and learn appropriate stylistic approaches to the literature of various historical periods. In addition to studies with our expert faculty, students are provided further opportunities to work with esteemed professionals such as Johannes Fritzsch, John Antoniou, Joseph Ward OBE, Greta Bradman, Peter Robinson, Andrew Goodwin, Richard Gill, Brad Daley and Andrew Collis.
