The UQ Chamber Singers and St Peters Chorale will feature profound and inspiring choral music on Saturday 7th September at St Peters Lutheran College. The UQ Chamber singers will perform Renaissance and early Baroque works, focussing on canonic repertoire of the period. St Peters will showcase an eclectic program that will include the premiere performance of Mind - a commissioned work written by UQ alumnus Andrew Schultz. The finale will consist of a combined choir performance of music by Gerald Finzi.

The University of Queensland Chamber Singers are a specialist ensemble that draws young vocal artists from across the university to perform diverse repertoire. Under the direction of Graeme Morton - Choral Fellow at the School of Music and Director of Music at St John’s Anglican Cathedral, Brisbane - the ensemble focuses on traditional and contemporary choral repertoire including that of Australian composers. The UQ Chamber Singers regularly collaborate with other musicians and contribute to research projects within the university.
