Join us for an exhilarating performance by the UQ Winds . This evening promises a blend of classical and contemporary works, showcasing the versatility and talent of UQ's premier wind ensemble. The concert will feature Mozart’s Le Nozze Di Figaro excerpts, arranged for wind octet by Johann Nepomuk Wendt, as well as Beethoven’s Rondino and Mysliveček’s Octet No. 3.
The program continues with a vibrant performance by the UQ Clarinet Ensemble, bringing together works like Puccini’s Crisantemi, Eric Whitacre’s Sleep, and the lively Tico-Tico no Fubá by Zequinha de Abreu. To round out the evening, the ensemble will perform Philip Sparke’s A Klezmer Karnival and the whimsical Twisty Turny Thing by Alun Cook.
