Scenes from the greatest of grand operas are strung together to tell one story of devotion, love, betrayal and vengeance starting from the biblical time of Samsone and Dalila, going through historically real characters of Adriana Lecouvreur that has a complex plot full of political and romantic scheming and backstage shenanigans, including Carmen-woman who craves love, but creates obsession and jealousy. Included in program will be songs that have a distinc-tive quality, featuring beautiful melodic phrases together with a deceptively simple elegance. They revolve around a single, universal and unifying  theme, that of love. Audience will also hear for the first time in Australia some very contemporary new pieces.

The concert features Rosario la Spina, Milijana Nikolic and the UQ Singers.
