Beth is a Meanjin-based mezzo-soprano, currently in her fourth year studying a dual degree in Music (Honours) and Science (Archaeological Science). She studies voice under the tutelage of Sarah Crane. Throughout her time at UQ, Beth has performed in excerpts from ‘Cosi Fan Tutte’, ‘Idomeneo’, ‘Offenbach’, and ‘La Cenerentola’ in the UQ Singers Opera Scenes showcases. She has also played ‘Papagena’ in the UQ School of Music’s 2022 production of ‘The Magic Flute’ and ‘Agricola’ in the 2023 production of ‘A Night in Venice’.

In 2023, Beth was awarded the Ethel Osbourne Prize alongside Connor Wilmore and the Margaret Nickson Prize with her collaborative partner Mac Johnson. Recently, she appeared as ‘Carmen’ in the 2024 Cuskelly College of Music summer school program and as the ‘Alto Soloist’ in Mozart’s Requiem under Maestra Emily Cox. Beth has also participated in the Art Song Festival in 2023 and 2024. She is excited to play ‘Cherubino’ in UQ’s upcoming production of ‘The Marriage of Figaro’.
