Olivia Cosham showcasing her revolutionary musical card game 'Oom-Pah!'

Olivia has worked professionally throughout her career as a multi-disciplinary performer and musician within Australia and internationally. She has performed in musical theatre productions, jazz ensembles, cabaret shows, and percussion groups, and has tutored classes in singing, dance and percussion. She also co-facilitates African drumming workshops for people with disabilities through Talkin’ the Drum.

Whilst completing her BA in Music and Psychology, Olivia formed The Joy Dispensary, a partnership facilitating creative and therapeutic multimodal sessions for disability groups, schools, aged care, corporate and community groups; offering music performances, workshops and sound meditations at events and festivals. The duo are also the creators of Oom-Pah!, a music card game based around principles of neuroscience, to help students learn and master music theory. Olivia aims to utilise the game as a research design for her master’s thesis to further investigate the cognitive benefits of play-based learning in music education.
