Dr Emma Di Marco is a classical musician, music education expert, and founder of start up, Emma & Vincent. A passionate advocate for Australian music and supporting fellow women in a male-dominated music industry, Emma has established herself as an experienced and talented performer across the world stage. Emma is a D’Addario Woodwinds Endorsed Artist, a recipient of the prestigious Churchill Fellowship, and has a PhD in Musicology. As a champion of Australian saxophone music, Emma has toured Australia on multiple occasions with programs that consisted of specially commissioned Australian works. She has also performed internationally in the USA, the UK, France, Ukraine, and Croatia. She is a regular on the industry conference scene with performances at three World Saxophone Congresses, a NASA Biennial Conference, the Australasian Saxophone and Clarinet Conference, and the Australian Clarinet and Saxophone Festival . Emma has completed two solo tours across Australia - Shimmer in 2016 and East Coast Tour in 2014 and is a founding member of the Barega Saxophone Quartet. She produces and hosts the podcast, Sax Bites, which shares tips and tricks for saxophone students around the world. Emma's work as a music educator has seen her become a leader in improving woodwind pedagogy, supporting and growing music education programs (especially through challenging times such as covid-19), and integrating cutting edge research in educational neuroscience into everyday teaching practices.
