This programme celebrates the creation of new repertoire through collaboration, commissioning, and composition. Bringing together works by Jenni Watson, JacobTV, and Erin Royer, the programme explores music that has been personally commissioned, developed in collaboration with composers, or written by Royer herself.

At its heart, Impact explores the ways music can respond to the world around us and the people who shape our lives. Across the programme, the works reflect environmental and climate issues, cultural perspectives, and significant people of impact.

Each work represents a different creative relationship between performer and composer, highlighting the saxophone as a continually evolving instrument and the important role performers play in shaping its repertoire. Together, these works form a personal collection of music shaped by meaningful ideas, experiences, and connections.
