The University of Queensland School of Music is proud to present the Final of the prestigious Ethel Osborn Vocal Competition, a celebration of outstanding emerging vocal talent from the UQ vocal program. Ethel Osborn Prize (The prize was established in 1983 following a bequest of $15,000 from John Gilmour in memory of his wife, Ethel Osborn Gilmour, an Australian and international singer and part-time Examiner in Singing with the Department of Music at The University of Queensland, 1952–1962.)

Join us on Thursday 13 August as four exceptional finalists perform before a live audience and a panel of distinguished adjudicators in the Nickson Room Lunchtime Concert Series. Accompanied by acclaimed pianist Sarka Budinska, these young artists will present a program of vocal artistry, technical excellence, and expressive performance in the final stage of one of the School’s most significant vocal awards.
