Duo Rosella is the musical collaboration of two of Australia’s premiere saxophonists: Emma Di Marco (Brisbane) and Nathan Henshaw (Sydney). This new program takes audiences on a journey through nature, exploring the beauty and fragility of the world through the voices of the saxophone. This program moves from the vivid birdcalls of Nga Manu, capturing the songs of four New Zealand birds, to Enveloped, where live saxophones intertwine with field recordings from The University of Queensland. The program culminates in Jenni Watson’s Gone Tomorrow, a powerful reflection on climate change that demands action. A breathtaking blend of music and nature, Flight of Fancy invites listeners to tune into the world around them—and consider its future.
