Join the newly formed UQ Chamber Players for an afternoon of dynamic and evocative string music, featuring an exceptional ensemble of musicians: Doretta Balkizas and Glenn Christensen (violins), Henry Justo (viola) and Patrick Murphy (cello). The program spans a rich tapestry of styles and eras, including Caroline Shaw’s Entr’acte, Richard Meale’s lyrical Cantilena Pacifica, Felix Mendelssohn’s passionate String Quartet No. 1 in E-flat major, Op. 12, and the folk-inspired Sekstur from Vendsyssel – The Peat Dance by the Danish String Quartet. This captivating performance promises an exploration of musical landscapes both familiar and new.
