Jeremy Sun began studying piano at age six. He was awarded the LMusA with Distinction at 12 and made his concerto debut at 11 with Queensland Youth Orchestra 2. Since then, he has performed with the Redlands Sinfonia, Queensland Medical Orchestra, Barrier Reef Orchestra and Queensland Youth Symphony. Jeremy has given recitals and performances across Australia, the UK and Europe.

He has won numerous international competitions in Germany, Portugal, Italy, Austria and China, along with major prizes in Australia, including first place in the 2022 Australian Concerto and Vocal Competition and the 2021 Theme and Variations Foundation Award. Jeremy has participated in masterclasses with renowned pianists and professors such as Michel Béroff, Boris Berman, Meng-Chieh Liu, Christopher Elton, Joanna MacGregor, Dmitri Alexeev, Piers Lane and Jayson Gillham.

He aspires to participate in major competitions like the Sydney International, Leeds, Van Cliburn and Chopin. Jeremy’s favourite composers include Bach, Ravel, Chopin and Schumann, with his preferences continually evolving. He admires pianists like Sviatoslav Richter, Pascal Rogé and Kyohei Sorita for their powerful and touching performances.
